Antonella Ruffo

Architecture, design, art, a love of beauty, artistic taste: these are the key elements in my cultural journey and my life as a whole. Their roots go back a long way in the history of my family with its constantly renewed passion for beauty in which painting and antique furniture collecting has gone hand in hand with contemporary innovations and elements to be discovered and studied in the present.
My academic trajectory took me through a degree in history of art in Genoa and then studies at Milan’s Istituto di Architettura e Design with a specialisation in interior design.

A life shaped by an artistic spirit which has always had me viewing situations, environments, styles and spaces from the point of view of a philosophy focusing on interior studies.
Clean lines, space and light studies, a focus on forms: together with clients I love to combine modern design’s clean, essential and dynamic lines with the warmth of historic elements, in ideal combination, bringing the best out of never clichéd everyday spaces in apartments, villas, work spaces and retail outlets. A willingness to listen and empathise with clients is the cornerstone of my work. Getting into the world of those who are to live in these spaces is essential to identifying the approach to be used, its building techniques and implementation. Users’ expectations and feelings are key to authentic and stylish spaces with a carefully thought out materials philosophy.
